Excursion to Lipica Stud Farm and Postojna Caves

Recommended:

The caves are cold (8^o C) and humid, therefore appropriate shoes and sweaters are recommended.
 

This excursion offers you to see two of the most famous slovenian tourist attractions, Postojna Caves and Lipica stud farm. Postojna and Lipica are located in the south-western part of Slovenia on the typical karst landscape. Postojna caves are European biggest and also one of the most beautiful caves in the world.

From the hotel we will drive directly to the Lipica, where you will first have performance of the finest riding horses of the world, what Lippizaners are famous for. The show will be followed by guided walk through the stables where you will get to know with the history of the studfarm and you will have a closer look to these intelligent, beautiful animals as well. After the visit of Lipica Stud Farm the short drive to Postojna caves will follow. Your guided tour will start by the mini-cave train and then you will continue by walking in the most beautiful parts of the caves where you will admire many different forms and colours of stalactites and stalagmites. When you will come out of the caves by train again you will have dinner in the nice inn "Hudičevec".
